When using "Optimize Website" in cPanel -> Software, cPanel should enable php compression.

As a system administrator, and as a web site operator, I would like cPanel to add php compression options to "cPanel -> Software -> Optimize Website", specifically "zlib.output_compression", so that the compression can be applied to PHP-generated content in addition to plain text content.

Both compression types should not be enabled at the same time otherwise you would have a double compression.

PHP compression has compatibility issues with some scripts and a lot of scripts that are compatible allow their users to enable PHP compression in their options.

Are there cases where PHP compression is better than using cPanel's current mod deflate configuration ?

In version 68, we added the option to MultiPHP INI Editor page in both WHM and cPanel, and added a note on cPanel's Optimize website where to find the new setting.
