Update of Horde Webmail

Hi,
Horde Webmail has now been upgraded to Version 5. See http://www.horde.org/ Main home page!
Can you please upgrade this version to Cpanel as soon as possible?
The Webmail application has been given a complete overhaul but no colour schemes have been added as yet. That will be finished in a few months time.

I also would like to update to the latest Horde. The one available seems very "1990's" in terms of UI, and an update would provide lots of new functions to customers.

Cannot answer that because I never used Horde before. (saw the web demo and fell in love). All I know is that I would want to use it in a shared hosting environment without root access. So I would appreciate if there is a way for normal local users to do exactly the same things what one can do at http://demo.horde.org.

The only modification that I would ask for is to enable single-click viewing of html messages within the mail window. When messages include html, put a button in there! For security, it's fine that html contents are blocked by default, but users want to be able to get to the contents of messages from trusted senders without downloading the html and having to separately open it in the browser. The users I work with HATE Horde for this reason. They all use SquirrelMail, even though it's less feature-full.
There are ways to force html emails to always display, but that actually seems TOO strong.
Unless I'm missing something major (always a possibility!) the current UI is just impossibly primitive. I'm guessing and hoping Horde version 5 has already implemented a user-facing control for this?THX!

But what you can do is on the Global Options, you can set the time zone, colours of preference and how long the portal refreshes to update of the time displayed in Horde from the server it sits on. There's only limited options for all components that are within the Horde application itself.

The only good thing about Horde 5 is it's somewhat better UI.
I have a server that runs Plesk 11.5 which now includes Horde 5.1.4. As soon as i've updated, i started receiving a lot of complaints about it. One of the worst changes introduces with the new IMP, is that when you attach a file, instead of embedding it in the message, like every other mail client, it adds a link in your message with a temporary download location to the attached file. The only way i've found to enable embedding the attachments in the sent mail is to manually edit the Horde configuration file.
So be prepared for a lot of support requests once the Horde update is out.

There's no way to sync calendars, contacts, emails, notes with Outlook and mobile devices and this causes us a great imbalance to compete with large companies , since the vast majority of our clients are companies that use the service much. Cpanel is delayed in helping medium-sized enterprises or simply not in your market benefits. Which we should have a solution to the issue, and we paid a membership for customers.

I think this is not serious, or Cpanel is not taking things seriously, or other companies with cpanel plugins to press for Activesync not activate in Horde.
I hope a solution will soon be put as from version 1.32, this project is continually delayed.
We are now in the mobile era, where mobility is very important. And while all companies that rely on Cpanel, still waiting a year behind another year.

The internet has changed, webmail is not just for techies anymore and when users look at the very 1990s webmail systems provided by cPanel, then look at other options like Google Apps, Outlook, etc. there is NO comparison. It makes us look like a joke.
The new Horde 5 looks really great but the version included in cPanel is so dumbed down and restricted it's not even funny. We STILL can't even share calendars? Really? WE HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR THIS FOR OVER 10 YEARS. Is cPanel EVER going to move into 2014 and provide your users with what we have continually asked for? If this is not implemented soon we will have no choice but to move to Plesk...which I hate with a passion but at least they appear to listen to their users instead of continually posting the same "it's been delayed" responses over and over and over for over a freaking DECADE.
