Tweak Setting to turn on Horde Groupware apps like filemanager Gollem and bookmarks

I realize this is not possible for servers with managed space. But this would be a great feature for private servers that are used specifically for a corporation where file size does not matter.

I am sure others would benefit with the extra apps horde offers.

It is unlikely that cPanel & WHM (a shared hosting solution product) would expand to attempt to also work in a single solution enterprise/corporate solution. To me, those are two unique solutions with unique sets of goals that sometimes step on each others' toes and conflict.

Horde Groupware really isn't designed for a shared hosting implementation, and some tweaks and features had to be removed or altered to make it compliant with shared hosting (for example, some of the sharing features that resulted in items being shared server-wide across all clients on the box).

It would be best for those who need those Horde Groupware items to investigate and implement their own standalone installation of Horde Groupware that they can manage for their own private entity. As you mentioned yourself, those features are simply contrasting with shared hosting design -- which is the backbone of cPanel & WHM as a product.

I really don't know what to make from your comments here.

"It is unlikely that cPanel & WHM (a shared hosting solution product) would expand to attempt to also work in a single solution enterprise/corporate solution."

So your telling me to look elsewhere for server control panel because I am in a enterprise/corporation? from your statement it seems that way.

Our company "Corporation that is" has been using cPanel on our servers for over 12 years now. In fact that is the first thing we look for when expanding our hosting network. I would assume that other companies similar to ours are doing the same to help cut IT cost when setting up a server.

I didn't really ask a feature request that caters to a specific group. Again I don't believe I am the only one who would like to see horde fully functional on cPanel.

The request only came about after the 11.42 release notes had lead me to horde website and notice that it had more functions.

So I ask you, why would a company advertise a product as a main feature for their new release without knowing that people would want it to operate as it was intended?

But, being the understanding person I am, that is why I have asked the additional apps to be a feature request we can easily turn on inside the WHM - Tweak Settings.

Which will allow many "enterprise/corporate" such as ours to take advantage of a "Feature" on cPanel.

Regards,

Pete
