Sound signal when long tasks complete
Needs Feedback
I, as a sysadmin dealing with lots of WHM based tasks, sometimes using different browser tabs, sometimes using multi monitor scenarios, or even working with several adjacent computers, would get a performance boost if WHM could play some sort of customizable sound/ring (wav or mp3), when long tasks are completed. What kind of long tasks?
- Transfers of accounts between servers.
- Restore of accounts.
- EasyApache compilations.
- Any other tasks that could take more than 2 minutes to complete (manual cPanel updates, manual system updates, you name it)
This will be specially useful when you deal with large accounts, and while in the meantime you are doing some other tasks.
Hope you can take it into consideration and others find this useful and second it.
Best Regards
Marcelo
I hesitate to agree with the idea of adding a sound (personal taste)...but we could certainly blink something in the [title] attribute. Would that suffice?

I'm curious what will happen if there are 3 tasks completed at the same time - "creating a music".
It would be better to configure mail sending after task complete, and then you can parse your email and do all kind of actions.

Hey! Another way to accomplish this could be using browser notifications. The case is that you are usually doing lots of things and if you are a serial multitasker, you can be easily dragged by another tasks. But having a visual (and why not, and aural one) you can easily remind that huge task is now done.
Or am I the only who gone nuts with 139 open tabs in different windows?
