SNI support for MariaDB

As a server administrator, I would like cPanel to add SNI support to cover MariaDB remote access via TLS/SSL.
I like this idea 
cPanel, WebHost Manager and WHM are registered trademarks of cPanel, L.L.C. for providing its computer software that facilitates the management and configuration of Internet web servers.
MariaDB does not appear to support SNI. This would only be possible via proxy, which, while certainly not out of the realm of consideration, would add a significant layer of complexity.
