As a server administrator, I would like to have some warning, a minimum of 1 day in advance, that my server is about to get a major WHM version upgrade.
For example, I may have previously placed the server on EDGE tier to quickly get a minor bug fix in the same major version I was already using, but I forgot to switch back to RELEASE after the updated version was available there. Now EDGE is moving to the next major release, and I'd like some advanced warning to give me a chance to switch the server to a lower-level update tier before the major upgrade actually happens.
A combination of a warning banner at the top of the WHM interface as well as an email sent to the administrative contact would be ideal.
Also, offer the optional ability to enable this warning for all available tiers, with EDGE tier, and possibly CURRENT tier, enabled by default. The WHM Update Preferences page would be a great place to put these settings.
