Remove "Secure Connection" from WHM

In the corner of WHM there is "Secure Connection" HTML.


This is a bad security practice and should be removed. A phish/insecure site could add this HTML anyway. So the user should check the brower's security status... not every trust what the web page says is secure.

Agreed. This is likely hold-over from a time when browsers didn't make the status of SSL clear to end-users.


Expect this gone very soon.

I don't think this is an issue. It's nice to see that. You can always look to see if the site has https in the address bar. There are other far more important features to add.

It's a security issue. If anyone looks at that to see if their connection is secure then they could be tricked.

After consultations with our internal security team, we are removing the 'secure/insecure' connection badge from the top navigation of cPanel in v64 currently in development. Please encourage your users to examine their browser's URL Bar for connection security information and certificate validity.
