Currently there is a field for the Host IP address and besides the delete button that's it.
After a year I can't remember which IP belongs to which client so if I delete any I risk deleting the IP address that may give remote access to a client. This has happened twice where I have a client asking me why they can't access their database.
Just add a text description field - it's an easy addition

I absolutely agree, particularly as many broadband providers will randomly but frequently change external IP for home workers particularly. I spend 3 hrs every day having to review all the ip addresses within panel remote mysql because we can't hold an identifying label. 50 characters would be enough for me too.

We have the same problem ... many changing developers and temporary remote access IP that we need to manage. %0 char is fine.
And if you want to get more sophisticated adding a date field for auto-expiration would be a nice to have - definately not a need to have.

Of note: comments field should be mandatory. Otherwise, we would be in the same current situation :-)

Addendum: Comments should be editable, in the same fashion as descriptions are in Greylisting UI; so users/admins can fix/update descriptions.

We've got this queued up for release in v74 or v76. Right now the notes are stored in an additional system-level mysql database but we're working to pull that out and instead store it elsewhere. The full create-review-update-delete experience is in place, as well as the clean-up of entries when the account is terminated and the backup/restoration/transfer/rename of this data when the account moves.

Comments can be alphanumeric and a max-length of 255 characters. For v74, these comments persist until they are deleted and will move when the account is transferred or backed up.
