Powerful Web Builder
After a couple of days of looking for Web Builders for My Clients. I noticed that there is not 1 Web Builder out there that can integrate with WHM and be at least Easy enough and Powerful enough for a computer novice to use.
If cPanel were to create a Powerful tool like this, It would be a huge step for cPanel. The reason I say this is because most of today's Websites are built on Platforms Such as Wix or Weebly. Because they are simple to use. If a cPanel Host like myself could offer the same or similar service to users at a much more competitive price it would surely grow sales in Licences for cPanel.
Something that is Drag and Drop, Easy to upload Images, Easy to see interface and Navigation.
Ability to Create a SQL Database for Blogging within the Builder but at the Same time make it simplified to the User. And also have a few Pre Made Templates that Users can Edit. If it could also take advantage of Ajax, CSS3 and HTML5. Im sure people would pay lots of money for Licences to have one on their Server.

Maybe cpanel could do something like negociate a contract with one of the big players that charge a fortune and are only interested in big companies to implement their software as a self hosted solution inside cpanel.

I'm exactly where you're at monarobase! Wordpress is the best application overall but it requires time and energy upfront. It'd be so nice to have a weebly type plugin. It doesn't even have to be exactly as good as weebly but just close enough. I've found trendy tools to be the closest so far and I think they're getting better in the past months, but it's still lacking as a hands-off, no brainer, turn key website building solution for hosting companies and customers.
I think the only way this feature could actually come true is like what you said...cpanel would have to team up with a high end group. (Possibly Trendy tools) since they're the closest...or even Wordpress would be cool too! ie. when a hosting account is setups, customer clicks the wordpress button in cpanel and it auto installs a pre-packaged wordpress instance onto their hosting space. Either cpanel or wordpress would create and maintain this customized version of Wordpress, that requires no setup or maintenance by us. We currently use installatron which installs wordpress, and it works...but there is so much still needing setup after it's installed. Like permalinks, designated homepage, menus, easy logo management, mandatory plugins, jquery homepage sliders, a stunning theme to start out and impress customer vs twenty thirteen or whatever etc...
I know I could do this now, but it'd be up to me to keep it updated and figure out a way to install it auto.

After configuring (or designing) a template, the user create content for their site by creating files on disk. After the content is complete, the website page is generated from that file and rendered into that template.

Chris, your reseller system doesn't allow hosts to host the files. Most webhosts don't want to resell your hosting. If you create a plugin that allows hosts to manage sites on their servers we would defenetly sign up.

I would love to just have a really simple template based web builder that we can add our own templates too. So many customers just need a simple page for their band or real estate, ect... Would love to have something a person with no experiance could use very very simply.

We need cPanel to release webbuilder asap. We have so many customers unhappy with 3rd party website builders including trendytools, weebly, site.pro, breezi etc. cPanel can make so much money with thier own builder $$$$ what's the hold up!? :)

A Site Template can be as simple as a single page or as complex as whole site. We are hoping to work with external designers to build amazing Site Templates for users to chose from (however, in the first release Site Templates may be pretty simple). Additionally you will be able to build and deploy your own Site Templates for your users as well.
We are intentionally avoiding WYSIWYG editors in the end-user-experience because...quite frankly...we couldn't find one we liked. Instead, users will fill out content and provide images for specific uses and the Site Template Designers will provide all of the presentation specifics. Hopefully that will help bump the votes up for this so it has higher priority... so many are annoyed by existing website builders that don't work well enough with cPanel. Do doubt cPanel will release a better builder which is easier to use and has better templates over time.

Great news, our issue is the current web builders are still to hard to use for most people. If possible try to pretend you have never built a site and could use this tool to make one with no prior experience with web building. Good luck and thanks!

There are plenty of other site builders, wished cPanel worked towards making core features better and faster, instead of trying to be everything.

We have tried every site builder and none work well. All are confusing and have several errors when published. Old templates, the list goes on.

We have also tried every builder out there, and they are just downright awful and off-the-mark of what the average customer wants. The closest one to being usable is Kopage.com. At $25/mo per server, the cost is reasonable. Pages are hosted on your server, and integrates fairly well with cPanel. My biggest complaint with Kopage is that it's not simple enough for the average user (in my opinion) and the stock templates are way too flashy, complicated for the small customers we have.
The customers I deal with have very basic needs. They want a home page with an optional slider/slide show, maybe some sub-pages, a contact form, a photo gallery, Google Map iframe to find the business, maybe PayPal shopping cart integration. WordPress is out of the question... they are overwhelmed with it and it is burdensome to support them, from a hosting perspective. Plus, they usually install too many plugins, and never update anything, eventually getting hacked.
Weebly's partner program was looking good until they changed the rules and now require a $500 per month minimum payment, which rules out many small hosts.
I'm looking forward to the basic page builder from cPanel (was called 'Easy Sites', now called 'Site Publisher') -- having another option for customers is always a good thing! I'm afraid this will be too simple / too feature limited for what our customers need.
The company that really had this right was SiteZen... an extremely easy to use drag-and-drop builder, based on javascript and Perl. cPanel bought them, but decided that it needed too much work to be modernized, and eventually dropped it. We still have customers using this old builder, and it still serves their needs fairly well, although it's not mobile friendly and has some quirks as browsers have been updated, but the product has not.
There is definitely a market opportunity for a SIMPLE drag and drop builder out there. I guess I'm dreaming...
