Paper Lantern Theme extended to Webmail

Hi,

I would love to have ^ see the Paper Lantern theme extended for Webmail as well!

And can we please have the old themes deleted as they are now boring! Paper Lantern brightens everything up and I would love to see more themes of this type available for cPanel!

We're on the case, ktalk!

as far as deleting the old themes goes, we have to keep them around for a while simply because Paper Lantern is still under active development. When it's wrapped up, and is stable for a release or two, we'll start talking about "sunset-ing" X3 and its styles. The process will be slow and respectful of people who would rather not switch or have good reasons to stay where they are.

Thanks for that! Yes some people would rather not switch as they don't like change and can't handle that sort of things in their lives.

and thanks also for letting me know about the current themes! I'll stick to paper lantern as I've already got that installed on my server and I like it much better than what the old themes were at the time!

Development on this is underway. Here's roughly what you can expect:

If a webmail user has never logged in before, they will be asked which webmail client they prefer as well as be shown configuration information for common email clients. After they select a webmail application, it will be set as their default.
If a webmail user has logged in before, they will be brought directly to their inbox in the webmail application they chose as their default.
Webmail users now have a User Preferences pulldown where they can easily switch to another webmail app, set a webmail app as their default, and navigate to the many email functions (like mail client config, filtering, forwards, autoresponders, etc).
Webmail for Paper Lantern will inherit the branding and styles from the cPanel account which created it.
