Restore the stats bar to main view in paper lantern version 54+
I and my clients miss the sidebar in the cPanel interface. The sidebar in the cPanel interface allowed my customers to easily and quickly see where their account usage was, and allow them to proactively mitigate problems before they occured. For example, I provide plans with X amount of databases; users are able to see how many databases they have left to create as soon as they log in allowing them to upgrade their plan quicker, rather than losing a potential sale when they can no longer create databases and become frustrated to pause their work to place an order.
Additionally, it also helped them quickly find useful information such as their PHP version for when they're looking to install a new software into their cPanel account and want to make sure it's compatible before going through the work of downloading and installing that software.
The cPanel sidebar is handy, and a staple of cPanel's x3 theme; while I appreciate the move paper_lantern is making towards being an easier interface for novice-end users, a good mix of novice & power users would be beneficial and be a nice homage to the x3 theme. A theme that helped make cPanel the most popular control panel that it is today."
cPanel & WHM is now available in the CURRENT tier and contains this fix. Take a look at the updates in v58!

Just to share what I see on the market, and may be, a stable third party template is the solution for stability of design even if it has some less features...
1.
Normal but as we like, simple, a modern hybrid of x3/paperlantern :

2.
Very innovative :

I've just tested cPanel v54 and I have to agree, the stats need to be visible when you log in otherwise somes users will never see their disk usage, ressourse usage etc.
I would like to have a bar with the usage stats, with the main stats and a "more" link that takes them to the stats page.
Usage stats are the most important thing and users should check them when they log in.
We recently forced all users to Paperlantern, and discovered that alot of users didn't know they had the option to change to paperlantern. This proves that if it's not visible users won't see it and won't use it.
I would like to have the ressrouce usage in a bar below the main top par that takes up 100% of the page width with as many statistics as you can fit depending on the page with with at least Disk space and Bandwidth. It should be descrete (maybe gray background ?) and give access to all the stats usage stats.
I like how Flat panel shows the stats (shame their demo has never been accessible for us), but would like an improved version with more stats visible when the screen is large enough.
I would like the stats bar to be attached to the page and not the window like the top bar so when you scroll down the page it disapears.
If cPanel doesn't do this we might do it ourselves, as it's a tool that we and our customers use every day.

The stats and general information sidebar will return in v58. See screenshot below.
There is some concern about general performance of retrieving the stats for the sidebar, so please install v58 when it hits EDGE (should be soon) and let us know if it's performance is unacceptable on typical usage.

Appearance may change a bit from my screenshot yesterday. We've got performance where we want it now, so it's just refinement from here on out.
