Move upcp successful update emails to Contact Manager > Notifications
As a Systems Administrator, I would like to be able to use Contact Manager > Notifications to set priority or entirely disable the ucpc successful update emails so that the email address on file does not become inundated with emails that probably do not require further action

This issue was raised as a forum post by another member, but I don't see that a feature request was ever created.
I would like to be able to set priority or entirely disable the ucpc successful update emails. An option titled "cPanel Update Failures" already exists, so a "cPanel Successful Update" option could make sense as well.
I've attached a partial email as an example.

Adding one for for this to be configurable. In versions prior to 82, I could scan the email quickly to find changes and a system upgrade. This is handy for being an "administrator". I do not like surprises. David

I also need to know what's been changed to correlate it with the LFD output. Making this an OPTION would be appreciated. In future it would be good to have better notice when something is taken away so we don't waste time trying to figure out where it went.

As a cPanel user, website owner, it's important to get the upcp update emails. Since I don't log into WHM on a regular basis, this email lets me know when there has been a cPanel version update. It's a reminder for me to log into WHM, read the Change Log, News, check Security Advisor (reboot if needed), and do other general checks & updates.

These are useful as others pointed out to expect upgrades coming, as well as verify when an update took place, and just be assured nothing changed today on a lightly monitored server.
Information most useful, is just being aware that changes were made, and updates were success still.
In the past updates have resulted in something breaking after an upgrade, and having the e-mails past the current day to check over helped track down a version change did take place around the same time.
Would like to continue receiving these as an option, they were not 'unwanted'.

One HAS to HAVE the emailed copy of the update log AT ALL TIMES to be able to check when lfd reports a “System Integrity checking detected a modified system file.”
Without this, you are asking us to blindly login to a potentially compromised system for a routine check.
Please address this as soon as possible!

Honestly, this is not a feature request, it's a bug. You took away something that was useful and now we either have to implement work around (crons or post upcp hooks) to get what we used to have.
We use the upcp emails on a regular basis to:
Because we manage a large number of servers it's much quicker to scan through the emails ( and / or use mail filtering to alert su) vs. having to physically log into each server.
This "new" feature is going to make our SOC and other compliance a lot more work.

As a business owner of 26 years I have a lot of hats to wear. When I administer my Linux server (I have Windows servers to worry about as well) that daily email is (was) indispensable. This one definitely falls into the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" category.

I’ve posted a work-around that addresses the issue that you want an exact replication of the original emails being sent by cron so that you don’t have to change email filters (or other flagging logic). As well as addressing that we can’t use existing text from cPanel commands in crontab (as cPanel’s regex frags stuff then).

It looks as if the email from check_cpanel_rpms has stopped as well. I'd like to see those resumed as part of this project, since I think they were on the same crontab line. I rely on the "Altered RPMS found" email to confirm that a couple of my Mailman patches haven't been overwritten.

I would like an option to receive even the upcp was successful.
I'm an "old style sysop" and I like to check the logs, including what was updated (ie, yum/apt-get), etc.
