Move all email related functions to a single page in the cPanel UI
Needs Feedback
One thing that we and our customers find difficult is when setting up the emails in many cases they have to go through multiple pages just to get all the settings they want done. For example when creating an email address they need to go into Email accounts set it up, and if they want to forward the email they then have to go into Forwarders, and if they want an Auto Responder they have to go into auto responders. It would be easier for customers if all the email settings were in one singular location and could be set during email creation.
I would like to see if any other cPanel users experience similar frustrations and whether they feel this is something that would be beneficial. Perhaps there may be a more advantageous way to organize email related functions.
However, I have serious concerns about the merits of attempting to jam everything email related onto a single page. In my opinion, this would make that one page extremely cluttered, overly complex, and difficult to utilize. In my experience, it's not common for a user to need to execute all 3 of those functions at the same time.In my experience, cPanel users generally are looking to setup a full POP/IMAP email account *or* add a forwarder (since adding both would store mail locally *and* forward mail off. This is generally undesired).Similarly, it's my impression that most users who are accessing the auto responder functionality have had an email account for some period of time.
Again, I'd like to hear more feedback on this. Although, my initial impression is that this feature request would cause more negative impact to the user experience through UI clutter and complexity of putting many independent email functions all on a singular page.

While I can agree stuffing everything into one UI would cause a clutter, there are times when I create and my users create emails that have auto responders setup right away, say a support email or even an info email. It would be nice to be able to create these on email creation instead of having to go through the extra step.

Loralai, I would be interested in seeing a wireframe (or just something really rough) to get a picture of what you're describing. Like Brian, I'm also concerned about our User Experience becoming too complex...but we can certainly understand the direction your coming from.

I suppose the best way that I can put it is this. When we make a mail account or our customers make a mail account that want something a little more efficient than having to switch pages. Say under Mail Accounts when you create an account have the option to set it up with an autoresponder and an alias.
That should not be a massive footprint in the UI, just a few extra options, and maybe even an option to set a particular email address as the catch-all email.
