More selective backup restore options

As a System Administrator, I would like to have more options when it comes to restoring a backup so that we can restore a partial backup because sometimes a complete backup is not necessary as only a part of the backup was damaged, and loss of updated data would occur in the parts of the server that were not affected.

For example:

- Restore the public_html without touching email or databases

- Restore only a database

- Restore only an email account

If the user has made an error in phpmyadmin, for example deleting by mistake the wrong table, it is only necessary to restore the database, it is not necessary to restore the entire cPanel account because it would lose the emails received since the last backup as well as the changes made in the files of public_html.

In the meantime, you may want to check out http://www.gk-root.com/GK-Apps/Restore-Manager/ - if you haven't already. We have used it for years and support has been great!

In our experience when cPanel attempts to replicate features that 3rd party tools already do well, feature parity is usually only achieved to a fractional extent, and it can be years before they ever come back around to making any functional updates. Good 3rd party extensions are definitely worth supporting and paying for.
