If I type in "License" or "Licence" into WHM, it lists nothing. I've also tried clicking on "WHM 11.44.1 (build 17) [TRIAL]" which takes me to the "Upgrade to latest version".
The "Trial License" message at the top also does not contain a link.I'd like to know when my trial expires and how to buy a license. I've seen (on another installation) that when it expires, only then does a page appear with a link to purchase. Shouldn't we be encouraged to buy the license before it expires?
How do I get to the page with license information?

There currently isn't a way for us to show the expiration date on a trial license, however we have significantly improved the purchase of a license through WHM. You can see the new trial banner here:

I appreciate that I can google how to purchase, but finding the expiry date should be in WHM somewhere and easy to obtain, too.

I think "License valid until <date>" would make the most sense for everyone. A countdown is really only useful for people who have a trial license. If you wanted to distinguish licenses, you could replace "license" with the license type. e.g.. "Trial license expires <date>." or "Monthly license expires <date>."
