List process list and kill process function in cPanel control panel

Open Discussion

As a webhost provider, we routinely have clients asking "how can I kill the (php) processes on my account?"

They often spend a lot of time disabling access to their website and removing plugins etc. in the hope it will stabilise their website, when it is sometimes necessary to kill off any nuisance/dead processes and start over again.

We propose a new page in cPanel control panel where website owners can view a lot of all the current active processes, where they can filter the list, and where they can kill some/all processes. (perhaps with the exception of cPanel processes)

This would help reduce our support requests and it would empower the website owner, giving them a greater understanding of the processes contributing to their website's resource usage.

This makes a lot of sense. We often get users who need us to kill porcesses for them.

Requests by clients to kill process increases everyday. I hope this will be implemented as soon as possible

I created an account on this site just for this topic.

Please make this available for clients to check and kill processes affecting their websites. This is a really good idea.
