Integrate ConfigServer Security & Firewall (CSF/LFD) & Remove cPHulk
Every time I install cPanel or DNSONLY one of the first things I do is disable cPHulk and install ConfigServer Security & Firewall which is a feature rich solution that quickly helps lock down my servers and cPHulk doesn't hold a candle to it. As soon as you install it you get an interface to it in cPanel. It only seems natural that cPanel should come with this installed and they give it away for free. IMO cPanel should integrate it if not show them some love and buy them all together for what they've done for everyone. cPanel doesn't offer such management of iptables and protection against DDoS and the laundry list of things that this component provides. It would be extremely simple to add to the cPanel installer as well. Their installer script does all the work for you. You'd just have to have it run and provide a default setting. I usually keep mine on the "Medium" preset and customize a few variables through the WHM interface.
cPHulk is more of an annoyance than anything else, at least with its default settings and like I said, only provides one tiny feature that's already included in ConfigServer Security & Firewall. Whoever made it deserves to be absorbed by cPanel. I'd hate to see this tool ever become vaporware as I depend on it for every cPanel install.
We have no plan of removing cPHulk. It is vital for the authentication system.
CSF is a great tool and used by many customers. We are happy with our current relationship with the developer of CSF and do not anticipate changing our relationship.
We understand security is a concern for all customers. Please feel free to submit improvements ideas to cPanel's overall security through the feature request system.
Thank you!

In general, we don't discuss mergers/acquisitions in public...however your sentiment is not lost on us ;-)
