It would be great to have a dashboard showing how our cloud server was performing. It would be a visual load meter on if you needed to add Disk space, Memory, Ram etc.
Improved Service Status Page

As a cPanel Server Administrator, I would like to see improvements to the Service Status page that would provide an at-a-glance overview of the current health and status of the server.
This page would include multiple dials or indicators covering core "load" stats (CPU Load, Bandwidth Use, Memory Use, etc), which would transition from Green to Amber to Red at various levels of Load as they approached 100%, along with the state of all key services running on the platform, using familiar status indicators (Green / Amber / Red) where relevant. This page would be performing dynamic updates every few seconds, rather than requiring a reload, so the Administrator would be able to continually leave it open, on a monitor, and keep constant watch on the server in question.

Would this be running on the Host machine or inside the VM.

I was thinking it should be in the IX Control Panel under the Cloud Product Configuration. That way it would be easy to adjust the configuration needs based on the performance needs. EXAMPLE: If the Memory is close to maxed out, you can bump it up 1 GB. That way the hosted site is getting what it needs to run while the costs are being managed.

The current methods are somewhat complicated to get. You have to look in several locations and run several reports (and understand them) to get the results.

I consider this page, along with 'WHM » Account Information » List Accounts' to be great candidates for replacing the first page loaded after logging into WHM.

This would be great to get a quick overview of server resource usage when looking at a particular system. I agree it should be the first page displayed upon login too.

I'd like to see on the main page a dashboard of how the server is performing, where the memory is at, server loads, how many databases, status of the databases, how many accounts there are, how many resellers, are there any issues that need my attention, which admins last logged in, a link to get more detailed information to server stats, maybe the last 10 lines of logs with an option to load 30 more lines, *a button for a wall view, full screen*/ sort of like a geckoboard. A way to view these details from a cluster, an option to change server, a page to summarize metrics for many servers in the cluster.
Considerations: producing metrics needs a low cpu/memory footprint
Then a button to toggle between the dashboard and summary icons. A huge requirement would definitely give the users an option on what the user might want to see as their landing and a way to customize the dashboard metrics via drag and drop. Not all admins manage the same way.

Having an "all in one" type dashboard page would be really good especially if it dynamically updates and has more info that the current status page.

In regards to what should actually feature on the page, I think allowing the page to be customisable in terms of selecting what shows and even drag n drop placements would be a very good idea. That way we can choose what we wish to see.
For example @Marcelo would like SMART reports - I use Virtuozzo VPS's which means I cant pull any drive stats apart from disk usage info so I would opt to hide SMART reports - but for others they would definitely find them useful :)
