Flag to ignore remote database on delete after a migration

Rob Kennedy shared this idea 11 years ago
Planned

Scenario: server1, server2, mysql1

Both server1 and server2 use mysql1 as their database server.

When migrating an account from server1 to server2, cpanel should be able to flag the existing database NOT to delete when the account on server1 is terminated.

Kenneth, thanks for the response.

That is not the issue. The issue is that when I delete the original account off server1 after migrating, it will also delete the database.

There needs to be a flag to leave the database and database users when deleting an account when cpanel is using a remote database.

Update: I changed the official response since I misread your request.

Original response:

When using the account transfer features of cPanel & WHM, selecting "Skip Acct Databases" will prevent this behavior.
