Export/Import User E-mail Filters

As a cPanel user I'd like to be able to download/upload filters for my email users (not just the $domain level stored in /etc/vfilters) so I can greater control of my data, particularly when migrating from one host to another.
I like this idea

I would like to suggest we consider this feature for Webmail users and that when exporting to use relative paths where possible. I think this should allow selecting which filters to export, including all filters, or just one or two filters. This would be very useful for sharing filters within the same domain or company; for example, a Webmail user (individual e-mail account), who may subscribe to numerous mailing lists and has a fine-tuned set of filters for sorting into folders, can easily share their time-saving and sanity-preserving filter configuration with colleagues. :)

Wow, the poll is open for three years? Wow! Too much time ... that's the reason for the criticism about the evolution of this solution ... what's the incentive to spend time voting or suggesting improvements if cPanel will not look at this for so long?

yep, my Global Filter list is numbering in the hundreds now, its such a pain to manually copy paste all these into the web interface, and that's the simplified list after boiling them down simplified and wildcarded junk ending in .com .net domains (I had to completely block all other domains en-masse), these spammers buy or hijack new domains every day its always a new crop to keep up with that arms race, spam assassin cant keep up with all that and need a simple text file to work with instead of the cumbersome web forms interface in which now I'm having to scroll WAAAY down to the bottom of the page now to add in new spam domains on a daily basis..

Thanks so much for the use-cases and feedback. Unfortunately the amount of time that a request is open doesn't necessarily relate to the speed with which we implement the feature. Another way to look at it is that in 3 years this request has only gotten 9 votes in favor. I definitely like this idea, though, and will bring it to the dev team to see if we can get it implemented sooner, rather than later.

Hey all! I talked to our developers about this a bit, and the amount of work that would need to go in to this is a big unknown right now. We made some changes last year to email delivery that may make it much easier, but it's not clear. For now I'll add this to my list of things to bring up at the next planning meeting, and if it gets picked up I'll make sure I let everyone know!

We have 1660 "subject,contains..." entries to apply and after hours of searching have discovered that cPanel has no way of configuring Global Email Filters by text file. It'll take more than 30 hours to enter all those lines. Then theres the human error.
There's got to be a better way! Very disappointed. I do understand that such a function will that much programming given the syntax checking that would be needed , but with 100's os spam emails coming in every day, cPanel users need a better solution.
