I would like to see cPanel implement some sort of email retention.
Basic features:
Option to delete emails other then X amount of days/months/years.
Option to exclude certain folders from the rule.
Since Archiving is support it should be trivial to implement this feature. Emails older then X are deleted instead of being archived...

We need some more information about this feature request. Are you wanting to delete emails after a certain amount of time from the archive or from the email box?
The ability to exclude certain folders, does that include sitewide folders or are you wanting to exclude specific folders owned by specific users?

Similarly, I have a user who forwards all of his email to another email account (offsite). He would like to forward the email and NOT retain a copy in cPanel.

I have many customers that do not delete older email messages from server (some messages are older than 6 months). I would like to be able to set a maximum retention time per hosting account.
