Elasticsearch Support
Not Planned
As a web hosting provider that currently offers mongoDB with a custom plugin that is going to have be depreciated due to the new mongoDB licensing agreement. We are seeing our clients migrate to Elasticsearch and would like to see cPanel do official support for this new scheme free database that appears to be catching most of the development community on fire.
It does not require any special PHP plugins as it uses the standard CURL, json, and composer which are standard components installed with PHP 7+ already.
Hey there! Based on our assessment of the license for Elasticsearch, this one won’t be able to be included with cPanel & WHM either. I’ve marked this as not planned, but will leave comments open. If the licensing changes in the future, we’d be happy to reconsider.
