Edit "entry point" in FTP accounts

Why is there no edit option to simply change the "Entry Point" in the FTP User management?

Once set, forever set?

Most odd, could we have a fix, please?

cPanel & WHM v56 is now live in the CURRENT tier, so you should be able to see this there! I'm going to lock comments here, but if you have any questions you can feel free to open a ticket with our support team, email me (benny@cpanel.net) or find me on twitter (@cpaneldev).

Thank you so much for your feedback. To make sure I understand, are you referencing the path defined for the FTP user as it is created?

Hi,

Yes, once a User FTP account is created there are several editable options, but the Path or Directory ("entry point") or "Home" directory entry is not..

So if I change the directory structure, or just want to move what a user can see - no option...

Only delete and re-create

(Hope that's clarified?)

It sure did, thank you for it. This is resolved in cPanel & WHM v56, which should be going to the CURRENT tier in a couple weeks. Our new User Manager interface is much more powerful, and allows you to edit the FTP folder for the user. I've attached a screenshot from the latest EDGE version to let you see what I mean.

Cool! That looks a lot better for managing users, generally, as well as the specific functionality I was looking for.

Thanks for the heads up.
