Disable mail quota calculation

If clients has own "plan" with disk space, by default cPanel calculate all disk quotas (email,database etc).
We want to disable mail quota calculation (users has disk quota on site and database and another quota on mailboxes (100 mb per e-mail as example)
I like this idea

Hi there! This is a very interesting idea, I think. The best way to achieve this right now is to set the default email account quota to unlimited in WHM >> Tweak Settings. I can't wait to see what the community thinks about it!

Does e-mail quota use up much ressources ? Isn't it updated incrementaly so doesn't have much impact on server resources ?
Or is there another reason to disable e-mail quotas ?
