Update account backups to use '--single-transaction'
Completed
When using innodb and 'per account only' backups I would expect that '--single-transaction' is passed so it is a valid dump and the operations are not interrupted.
I've got the feedback that I wanted, and can confirm for you at this point that, so long as we can access the remote database and the databases was created through cPanel (thereby making cPanel aware of the database), then databases on remote systems should be backed up. If they are not being backed up, we'll want to have our support team take a look at that to confirm what's preventing it.
For your request about --single-transaction, our developers have just made a case internally to get that added. It's being tracked as CPANEL-5002 internally and will be listed on our chaneglog ( http://go.cpanel.net/changelog ) once it's pushed. I'll also update here when that's live as well. The code change will make it into cPanel & WHM v56, but it may not be in the first version released to the CURRENT tier.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm doing some digging internally to find out the specifics to answer your questions, and to make sure that I understand how we're doing things before I answer. I'll be back with you as soon as I have an answer for you.

Awesome - thank you for looking into it! The backup feature is something I would like to implement if possible in our situation. I'd rather use an integration within whm than sourcing it out to another software/setup.

Agreed! I'll let you know as soon as I have answers.

This did make it in for the CURRENT release, which was pushed yesterday. Take a look at it, and let me know how you feel! I'm going to lock comments here to prevent future spam, but if you have any questions you can open a ticket with our support team, email me (benny@cpanel.net) or find me on twitter (@cpaneldev).
