Cacti to replace Munin or additional to Munin.

As a system administrator, I would like to have multiple choices in collecting/displaying graphs regarding server resources so that I can have options to work around known issues with conflicting software in the current options.

As a system administrator, I would like to have multiple choices in collecting/displaying graphs regarding server resources.


Right now, cPanel & WHM can install Munin, but Munin has issues with Apache graphs when LiteSpeed is in use. Munin uses the Apache Status page to gather information and this does not work on LiteSpeed servers.

Looking around, it seems Cacti is a good alternative to Munin. (Note there are others too: collect, graphite, etc...)

Is it possible to add a new plugin for Cacti (or one of the others)?

I agree with "additional" to Munin. But, "replace" would truly suck.


OP? Would you consider changing the Request to something like, "Add a new plugin for Cacti."


That gives a specific task, and if other people have a different plugin they want, they can open a request for it (so voting is discrete).
