Autoresponders should ignore spams -- not reply to them.
Completed
Autoresponders should not reply to messages that have been classified as spams, as indicated by the subject prefixes such as {Spam}.
One way to accomplish this is to provide a filtering option that runs before messages are delivered to the autoresponder -- thus giving the cPanel user the ability to delete a message before it reaches the autoresponders.

Can you do this by logging into cPanel->Mail->User Level Filtering ?An even better idea would be to not use autoresponders, which contribute to backscatter and can get your server listed on blacklists.

We're regularily running into this issue when clients put up a vacation message through the Auto-Responder. The auto-responder replies to spammers and the clients get hit with a slew of `invalid email adress`-type messages.
cPanel staff mentionned that deleting spams (we usually recommend to store them) should occur before the auto-responder. We'll try that.
But I'd much prefer autoresponder features to ignore emails marked as spam.

It's vacation time, and spam time!
Some of my users have a legitimate need for vacation messages, which turns my server into a spam sending machine.
I hope this issue, as well as the one with forwarders, can be solved soon.

Out of office notifications are a requirement in day-to-day business.
With multiple servers and hundreds or thousands of accounts, adjusting the spam filters in each account is simply not an option. It a either a massive undertaking for a sysadmin or a task that we must trust the users to perform....and we all know how that works. :)

Status: Pre-Release - Awesome! I hope this does include forwarders as well, since it seems to be part of the same issue:
