MySQL to backup to remote if remote backups is checked
Completed
As a Server Administrator, I want MySQL to backup to remote if remote backups is checked, so that I have complete remote backup.
backup feature only backups of the cPanel accounts and leave /backup/cpbackup/weekly/dirs/_var_lib_mysql_.tar.gz in local storage .
I think it will be usefult that it will upload this file on remote ftp if we check Remote FTP on backup configuration

This has been resolved for some time, and I apologize for the lack of update here. The backup system was adjusted and the backup system will now transport the full directory backup system to the remote server as well as the local server. If you have any questions, or are seeing any behavior other than that, please do open a ticket with your webhsoting provider or with our support team: https://tickets.cpanel.net/submit

Just wanted to bump this one as it's CRUCIAL to our business!
1/ if you have a MySQL database that is corrupt (table needs repair), it is NOT completely backed up using mysqldump; this means that in such case, the packaged account will not have a complete backup of the MySQL Database.
2/ if the server crashes, and the mysql data files have not been transported remotely --> you then end up with a database you do not have a backup for!
Please consider this, as it's vital to ensuring our MySQL databases have been backed up properly
