A central logging location will greatly help for when a new log (e.g. "/usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup_transporter.log") gets added.
One possible caveat:
An existing user script might expect logs in a specific location. Changing to "/var/log/cpanel" might break any such script.
Another caveat:
Should we allow the user to configure a new/old logging location facility? That means extra work for the Development group (and additional possibility of fault).
Suggested solution:
Long-term announcement of the change to provide users adequate time to make changes or weigh-in, as necessary.
(edited to remove ugly single line of code with log locations)

Its understandable why this is a major hassle, but standardized log locations would be great. But thank you for hard work into Cpanel regardless of how much we gotta dig :)

I generally have no idea where the logs are...
Please cPanel, do consider and implement this.
Thanks,
