Ability to backup my data over sftp

As a cPanel & WHM user, I want the ability to backup my data over sftp, so that I do not transfer my information over plain-text.


Some feature requests are nice to have but an encrypted transfer out of the box should be a must have. Since the account transfer routines already use sftp I still wonder why unregular account transfers can be encrypted but regular backups can't (out of the box).

Encrypted backups should have been part of the backups a long time ago!

In cPanel & WHM 11.38 you can use SFTP with the backup system.

The EDGE release should be within the month. The remaining tiers will follow over the course of the next few months.
