Domain Registration/Registrar Integration
Open Discussion
As a cPanel & WHM user, I want Domain Registration/Registrar Integration, so that I can purchase new domains through the cPanel Interface.
1) cpanel and WHM icon to pick a registrar and go
2) create account menu to dynamically find if given domain is registered or not and if not show a menu of registrars to choose from to auto-register it via their API
3) registrars configured via simple YAML files in /var/cpanel/registrars maybe ? (and/or per reseller)
It would be important to have the option( configurable) to redirect the user to our domain name registration system. (We use WHMCS.)
We obviously do not want our clients to be redirected to an external registrar while we offer that service too!
The newly registered domains could be automatically added as parked or addon domains, depending on what the client has choosen.

This feature comes in handy if you have domains registered with different registrars.

While this may offer a convenience to cPanel users, it's well know that combining host and registrar is a very bad idea (at least with the many disreputable hosts out there). IMHO, cPanel should continue to provide an excellent control panel (via hosting companies) and not contaminate themselves by dabbling in the registrar business.

I think this would as logical as other services as SSL certificates are included as providers for Cpanel.
