Add Google Cloud Platform Storage as native backup remote destination.
Add remote backup destination Google Cloud Storage
Needs Review
As a system administrator I would like the ability to automatically send my server and account backups to Google Cloud Drive.
Cant you simplify this somewhat and just do google cloud drive as this would cater for both cloud and the downloaded drive version.

I thought Google Cloud Storage and Google Drive were different storage services. In that case, as I am a Google Apps for Work customer, I vote for Google Drive as of Google Apps for Works instead of Google Cloud Storage solution.

Is Google Cloud Storage the same storage service as Google Drive? I thought they were different solutions...

For clarification's sake, I've added links to the service about which both this one and the other Google request was submitted.

The product name is actually Google Cloud Storage, it could be a good idea to update the title to avoid people confusing this with Google's other product - Google Drive.

As long as I know, Google Cloud Storage is free to upload, very cheap to keep there and some costly to download but I don't care because as a backup I will only need to download when there is any disaster in my server or my client so requests. In any of those cases I would not care to pay a price for it. Normally I would only need to upload from my server to Google Cloud Storage (their cheapest Nearline option).

If Amazon S3 is implemented so i thing Google Cloud Storage could be too, even Google is more cheaper
Hope that cPanel will add this feature in near future!

Support chiefme. If Amazon S3 is implemented so I don't know why Google Cloud Storage don't have a seat on it.

Point of clarification: Support for S3 as a remote backup destination was added in part due to its incredibly popularity on the feature request site. This was especially true at the time, given the general lack of interaction on the feature request site from the cPanel development department.

I am voting for this feature as it looks a very good alternative option to S3.
One good reason is that Google Cloud Platform offers cheap backup storage in the APAC region such as Singapore.
Hopefully cPanel team will consider. Thank you!

With the launch of Google Workspace, the new version of G Suite, Google no longer offers unlimited storage for the Google Drive service. At this point, it would be very useful to have support for Google Cloud Storage, as it will become a viable backup destination for many users.
