Add/Change features to Horde Groupware 5.1.1 E-mail
I guess I have been sheltered from this server based e-mail all these years, but since 2005 I have been using c-panel and horde e-mail.
Well last night I was updated through a cpanel update on my server and the horde e-mail is now Horde Groupware 5.1.1 and talk about a world of difference.
I like some of the features on this new e-mail it seems to be streamlined and runs fast, however with this speed we are lacking in other areas that needs addressing.
I would like to see the following items fixed and placed back into proper working order.
1. Replying or Forwarding to a message does not work properly, my signature I have used since 2005 does not show up properly. If I try to reply or forward a message I am prompted to type at the top of the e-mail like normal, but my signature is moved to the very bottom of the e-mail, so you have my reply, the quoted e-mail, then my signature. I am sorry but this coding is ridiculous and looks stupid, this is a e-mail program not a forum software.
2. With the old Horde I could click on the e-mail subject and it would open the e-mail in that window, this gave me the ability to blacklist of if was junk or bogus, now when you want to read a e-mail it opens and if it is junk you close that window, go back to the message in the inbox list, then tell it to blacklist. Where is the blacklist feature for reviewing the e-mail and blacklisting with one move?
3. The date is great on there, but can't we add the time as well?
Again this new software "new to me" is very nicely streamlined, but shortcuts are too many and need repaired.

It is very unlikely that we will add or otherwise introduce new functionality into Horde Groupware. 3rd party applications like this are traditionally offered as-is, with the only changes to them being those that are required to get them to comply and work within cPanel & WHM itself. Attempting to maintain our own custom version of Horde Groupware would be an incredibly complex task.
Therefore requests for adding new functionality should be directed towards Horde Groupware's development team themselves. Any features/functionality that they support would be features/functionality that are potentially usable (as long as they don't conflict with existing cPanel & WHM infrastructure or pose security risks).

[2] This sounds like a good thing to review documentation for. If the feature is found to be missing, contacting Horde Groupware and requesting the feature would be ideal.
[3] This, too, sounds like an item to thumb through the documentation for and then submit a feature request to Horde Groupware's project if found to be missing.
In short, 3rd party applications like this are largely dropped in place as we do not maintain or create features for such 3rd party applications. Having them add them in at the "origin" (the devs of the project) is the way to get those features to trickle down.

Additional comments: When viewing the spam or trash folders, the Empty Spam and Trash Button is missing in the header that would make it much easier for us to delete the contents in these folders while we were in there looking at what is in them.

I can't get the blacklist filter working on Horde 5.1.1 I was just updated a few days ago and my filter had been working beautifully previous to that. It doesnt seem to want to filter when i log in or when i view the inbox

From reading on Horde and exchanging e-mails with horde employees, they have fixed many issues and a ton of bug fixes from 5.1.1 and 5.1.2 on the 5.1.3 release, and from reading more on Horde's site they have fixed even more bugs with the new stable release of 5.1.6 and I am requesting c-panel to update the Groupware 5.1.1 to the newest stable version.
I am not blaming c-panel, but since c-panel's name is on this as well I am requesting the update.

Hopefully they do the upgrade to .3 soon the loss of the blacklist function is a real pain.. 1 click on the filter icon used to delete anything that was in the blacklist.. As far as I can tell, the filter on log in or any other automatic removal of anything in the black list has never worked, and I have always had to do it manually, I just learned to live with it. If the black list no longer works, why have it..

It looks like this feature request has taken a turn from originally requesting custom development against Horde Groupware to requesting the particular version of Horde Groupware be updated to at least 5.1.6 (or the otherwise latest stable version).
I would request that you please submit a brand new feature request to this effect (requesting Horde Groupware be updated to the latest stable version), noting the major fixes/features in the latest version(s) that you are seeking. This will help demonstrate the desire and demand for the update.

Recently deleted messages can't be found in the trash file. I have one message in there dated 2018, and the rest are only thru 2012. Where are the recently deleted messages found? I tried to open a message in my inbox in the lower field, and got a message in red saying something to the effect that that operation could be done. So I refreshed the screen, the message I was trying to open was gone, and nowhere to be found. What's up with that?
