Plugin blocking

Needs Review

Hi,

I need the ability to block a plugin from being installed on a website hosted with us on cPanel.

I run several customer websites hosted by us and all of these customers have admin access to their WordPress dashboards. We want to have the ability to block certain plugins we have identified as troublesome from being installed.

I believe this will help with people unknowingly installing plugins that are known for getting hacked or bugs.

If you go into WHM->WordPress Toolkit and select "Settings" at the top left, there is a setting listed under "Advanced Features" called "Plugin blocklist" which should help. It does warn though:

"These plugins cannot be installed via WordPress Toolkit and will be disabled when found if they are installed through other means."

Right, you can keep them from being installed through WordPress Toolkit, but the end-user can still install them manually. They will then get disabled, but they can still be installed. This feature request is looking for more of a firm, global block on the plugins.
