Mass update passwords for user accounts

Megan Taylor shared this idea 2 years ago
Not Planned

If a server has been hacked, a common step for security is to update passwords across the system. It would be great for WHM to include an option to iterate through all of the cPanel accounts and assign new passwords to them.

Something similar to this: https://www.learntutors.com/mass-change-cpanel-account-passwords

The current option to force users to change their password on login is only helpful if you are certain your users will be logging into their cPanel account relatively soon. We have many customers who never log into their cPanel and we manage this on their behalf.

Howdy,

This is great feedback. I know we're working on a longer term project to improve account management in WHM. I'm going to add this information to that plan as a good option for expansion of that functionality. For now I'm going to mark this as not planned until that is officially on the roadmap.
