Let user choose "main domain" document root
Not Planned
The great motivation to this feature is: a lot of web applications, CMSs, etc, recommend you to change you doc_root to a separated folder, to isolate your dependencies, your internal libraries, or your package manager files, and/or another stuff.
I think this is the first issue when you start use WHM to admin your development client accounts, or when you start creating a server environment more geared towards professional developers: there is not a easy way to change "main domain" document root, always a root user must make this changes: https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/change-root-directory-for-the-main-domain.592551/
Howdy,
This is something we consider pretty important internally. Our focuses are in other places at the moment, but we are hoping to work this into our roadmap in 2023. I'll come back here and update this FR when that road map is more well defined.

This concept was also submitted several years ago. Probably by me, if not, I'm reasonably sure I commented on it.
+1 This has been needed for a decade.
