disable whm-server-status

Not Planned

As a System Administrator, I would like to disable the whm-server-status error_logging or cpanel connections so that i dont get an apache error log every few seconds.

At this time i get 1000+ apache errors in log like :

[Thu Oct 08 13:55:10.434907 2020] [access_compat:error] [pid 1352892:tid 47170235565824] [client 127.0.0.1:58706] AH01797: client denied by server configuration: /var/www/html/whm-server-status

A question was asked in the forums (https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/whm-server-status-requests.650033/#post-2794553) and instructed to open a feature request, although i believe it's more a bug than a request.

Hi dzamanakos,

The cPanel product is reliant on the module that is causing these logs to generate, so we will not be able to disable or remove it. That said, I've opened a case to suppress the noisiness of the messages appearing in access logs so that only errors are logged. We hope to get to this case soon. ZC-10149 is the case number.

Thanks!
