PHP 7.4

As a system administrator I would like PHP 7.4 added to EasyApache 4 so that we an can take advantage of the performance improvements, new features, functionalities and bug fixes.

Especially the introduction of Typed Properties 2.0 will lead to a lot of customer requests for this version.

PHP 7.4 is scheduled for release in November 2019 (https://wiki.php.net/todo/php74#timetable) and we would like to it to be faster supported by cPanel than 7.3 was added (which took 93 days since release).

Also building against libzip is depreciated with 7.4 (https://github.com/CpanelInc/scl-php73/commit/3d693e1c90a5dc4b55d49138c1801f275fb4ca6a) so we suggest to start with repackage process for EA4 when the first RC's are available.

Thank you :-)

RC 5 is out already, 7.4 will be released within a month. When will it be added to EasyApache, did the team start to implement internally already?

Updating and manually verifying PHP version compatibility is already taking a long time to get to 7.3, it would be nice if we had access to 7.4 ASAP so we don't have to do this again as soon.

And it's available (https://www.php.net/index.php).

Hopefully we don't have to wait too long 😅

As I already mentioned when I did this feature request, building PHP 7.4 against the bundled libzip is not possible anymore.

For that reason, cPanel started with the following repo this month: https://github.com/CpanelInc/ea-libzip

I presume this is the "unforeseen upstream issues".

Hopefully we can expect PHP 7.4 soon now :-)
