parallel processes for backup

As a server administrator I would like the option to set how many backups could run concurrently on my server (either by number, or by maximum load on the server), allowing my server to complete backups more quickly on highly-powered servers.

Context: I would very much like to see increased backup speeds. You've come a long way, but very similar to how the transfer tools are working now (they have evolved brilliantly), I would like to see a more parallel run of packaging accounts for the backup.

We're at 227 accounts on a server now, and it already takes 3.5 hours. the box should easily be able to take 1000 accounts, but the backups will be the bottleneck here as it will run outside its scheduled window.
