HTTP authentication with SSL

As a cPanel user, I would like HTTP password protection to not affect AutoSSL certificate generation so that the especially important password-protected (sub)domains are not HTTP-only.

Currently adding HTTP password protection adds a generic Authentication block on the full path which includes the .well-known required for at least Letsencrypt. The .well-known folder must be excluded from the password protection.
