As a web hosting provider, I would like a MySQL Database Restore feature added to cPanel which restores the database directly from on-server backups, so that end users can selectively restore databases from our daily backups. This would compliment the new file and directory restore system, and would enable us to remove our third party backup plugin.
cPanel user granular restore of MySQL databases

As a cPanel & WHM user, I would like cPanel to expand the new File and Directory Restoration tool to include the ability to manage and restore database backups contained within archived backups, rather than being required to manually restore the database backup, to reduce overall support load and provide a better experience for my customers.
I agree it is quite complex for an end user to retrieve the mysql dump from a full backup tar.gz and could mean them downloading a large file just to get it.
