cPanel backup failure transparency

As a cPanel User, when taking a backup in cPanel via the "Backup" icon, and no email alert is sent, it is not clear to the user whether their backup was made successfully. I know that setting an email alert will have the log file sent to the user. Can there be a section in cPanel to review logs of previously made backups. Can there be a way to indicate a problem with a backup, to something like, "Backup complete, but there were some issues... review here ->".
