cPanel Advice Regarding Passwords

I have just started using cpanel for a hosted web site.

1 When I go into the security options and look at the password changing option the advice is not to write down passwords but memorise them.

2 The advice does not include 'do not use the same password for multiple sites.

1 is simply ludicrous, most people have passwords for dozens if not hundreds of sites, many of which will be used infrequently so no one is able to remember all the passwords for all the sites. It then leads to users entering the same passwords for multiple sites so that they only have to remember one password. Far better to to recommended users to write down all passwords and keep them in a safe place, preferably in an encrypted file on the computer or in the cloud, and for those without IT skills in a notebook kept in a safe place.

2 the omission of this advice is verging on criminal. Once one is compromised all are compromised. I have come across people who use the same password for their bank accounts and their email!!!

I would urge you to update your advice on passwords urgently.
