Completed
As a system administrator I would like the ability to automatically send my server and account backups to Google Drive.
To ensure clarity, adding this link: https://www.google.com/drive/

Google Drive is the best storage solution, compared to OneDrive or Dropbox.

Google Drive is an odd place for a system administrator to store backups. It's a consumer product similar to Dropbox for file sharing and syncing. It would make more sense to be integrated with the user facing interface.

I find is strange for a product such as CPanel that they stilll not offer back-up to Dropbox/Google drive out of the box... It's not like we do not pay enough...

Just checking in and wonder whats the status of this here?
Are 70 likes enough to get the developers looking into an implementation for Google Drive as an alternative backup storage.

Just a side note, this is already some what possible with some pre-planning.
You must install the Google Drive Sync Application and then trick it to point at the same directory as your cPanel backups.
These two links should help you get started, until cPanel decides if they are going to add this support.

This is one of the most important features I can think of. I'm backing up to a storage server and to Amazon S3 and I really can't afford to keep both. I have a huge google drive as well as a huge onedrive, I'd like to be able to use them for storing backups automatically.

Need an update on this please - surely this is something very easy to implement.

Hey everyone! After some ground work was done in version 64 in the backup system, one of our teams has decided to take on providing this solution in the 66 cycle. We anticipate version 66 to be released sometime around the end of June or beginning of July. Once we get closer and have a testable version out I'll be back to update everyone!

I'm back, everyone, and with good news! As part of the work that one of our feature teams is doing for version 66, they have built and added Google Drive as a remote backup destination.
This feature is currently available in the EDGE tier and we highly encourage upgrading in order to test this feature and provide feedback! However, please note that if you update to version 65 (the development build of version 66) you won't be able to downgrade to version 64 again and will be stuck on the development build (that DOES have bugs and may not work as intended). If you're interested in testing this feature in version 66 before it hits production, or if you have any questions, let me know!
