Add patch to Increase ModSecurity Collection Size Limits

When using certain ModSecurity rules, including some bundled with cPanel, you may encounter the following in the Apache error log:

ModSecurity: collection_store: Failed to write to DBM file "/tmp/ip"

This is often the case with DDoS and brute force attack protection rules which use SDBM persistent and can hit the storage size limits. By default there is 800 bytes of usable storage. The following article describes how to recompile APR to support a higher storage limit.

Can this be added to EasyApache as an option? Getting DDoS and brute force attack protection rules to work is becoming a top priority for us.

Thank you,

Will
