cPanel accounts can "Adopt" or be assigned orphaned DNS zones that are controlled by the WHM/DNS Cluster. This would be useful for making account management easier in cases of mergers and migration of assets between customer accounts.


Presently there is no way that I have found to assign an existing but orphaned zone to a customer account beyond deleting/recreating it by hand.
