Exim4 send using smarthost, if smarthost down then send directly
Needs Review
The default exim installation works good, but the requirement is to use the company mail server as the relay.
If that server become unavailable the messages stuck in the exim queue.
Can you, please add a feature to configure exim somehow in a way that it would use the default routing, the one that would work if the smarthost would not exist, when the smarthost is not responding or fails to deliver messages?
This is an old topic

where a guy wants the same.
Kind Regards,
Andrii
