Folder level backups

I host multiple websites for completely different purposes in my cPanel environment.

I need effective backups for recoverability, obviously, but also for checking things have uploaded correctly.

Currently all I can do is to request a backup of my entire environment (at present 31GB) and then download, unzip, and untar it.

FTP is not the answer, due to its volume limitations (and lack of associated error messages), performance, and indeed network security issues.

As a cPanel System Administrator, I would like File Manager backups at folder level.

Ideally such a folder level backup would generate the .tar.gz in the home directory for download, as for the full backup, rather than doing it on the fly as for the home directory backup (which is too dependent on internet connectivity to be realistically usable).
