As per this support thread I request you to add an API call for cPanel UAPI that will provide the serial number of a DNS zone.

As per this documentation: Update a DNS zone, 'serial' is a required parameter. So there should be an API call that will provide the serial number of a DNS zone.

I hope, you'll add this soon.
