REMOVE THE PASSWORD & SECURITY INTERFACE FROM WEBMAIL

Needs Review

As a web-hosting provider, I would like to be able to have the option to disable the Password & Security Interface from the Webmail Home page, so that it will ultimately provide more security for our users and prevents them from changing their passwords to something less secure.

For example :

I've done some checking this morning and found references to this on CPanels forums going back years. Those making the enquiries had struck the same issue we have

1 - Someone gets access to an email account, most likely because of an inane password i.e. the dogs name

2 - They then hijack the account and change the password.

3 - The user doesn't know or the account may not be active and this causes the server to get blacklisted

Bottom line - we do not trust or allow our users to set their own passwords, it can only lead to trouble.

Ties in with my other beliefs - there's two things people really need a license for - having children and using a computer!
